Day 27 : Departure From TIA

Prepare yourself for the trek. Do all the necessary shopping. Today we mostly wait for our VISA approval from the Chinese embassy.Stay at the previous hotel.

Day 3 : Trek Preparation Day in Kathmandu

We take the first flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. It usually takes about 50 mins on a bright sunny day.

Day 4 : Flight to Nepalgunj (150 m)

Arrive at TIA, Kathmandu, where our staff will be present to pick you up and escort you to the hotel.&nbsp;Stay overnight at Hotel Manaslu or Hotel Vajra (3-star rated) on B&amp;B plan.

Day 1 : Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport

A tour of Kathmandu city, where you'll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Visit the office to make arrangements for your VISA for Tibet and other legal permits.Stay at the same hotel on the same food plan.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing Day

Trek to Sailli Khola walking through the thick quiet forest of the area. Slowly move up tp Chongsa Khola and the Pass a thick pine jungle to reach Saili Khola.Stay overnight at a camp/tent with full board meals.

Day 7 : Kermi (3,150 m) to Salli Khola (2,990 m), Distance: 16 km, Time: 6 hrs

From Saili Khola take a short hike for about 2 hrs to reach Nyalu La BC. If you're not exhausted, take a trip to Selima Danda (4,357 m). Overnight at a camp/tent with full meals.

Day 8 : Salli Khola (2,990 m) to Nyalu La BC (4,950 m), Distance: 6.6 km, Time:2-3 hrs

Take an early flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, which takes about 45 mins. Have lunch at Simikot.Prepare all your trekking gears and mules for the trek. We walk uphill for 1 hr, then downhill for 2 hrs followed by a steady walk for 1 hr, after which we reach Dharapuri.Camping at Dharapori Camp Site with all meals.

Day 5 : Nepalgunj (150 m) to Simikot (‎2,910 m) and trek to Dharapori Camp Site (2,300m), Distance: 7-6 km, Time: 3 hrs

We walk uphill to reach Kermi following the river banks of Karnali River. Lunch at Kermi, after which you can visit the hot water springs for a hot dip.Overnight at a camp/tent with full meals.

Day 6 : Dharapori Camp Site (2,300m) to Kermi (3,150 m) Distance: 10 km, Time: 5 hrs

Today is a free day, and you can roam around the capital city for sightseeing.&nbsp;At night you can enjoy a typical Nepali dinner at a restaurant.

Day 26 : Kathmandu Free Day

After walking for 3 hrs from Nyalu Lu BC, we reach Nyalu la Pass. We descend from the Nyalu La pass and head towards Talung Tso Lake Camp.We if you wish we could move further from Talung and rest at Takchi village for the day. If you make it to Takchi, the next day would be a shorter hike to the hot spring camp.Camp at Talung or Takchi.

Day 9 : Reach Talung Tso Lake Camp (4,250 m) from Nyalu La BC (4,950 m) via Nyalu La pass (5,001 m), Distance: 14.4 km, Time: 7-8 hrs

We pass the Selima Tso Taal along the trail and reach Takchi, the first settlement after Nyalula pass. Takchi shares its border with Tibet on the northern side. We then move on to finally reach Jhang.Camp at Jhang with full course meals.

Day 10 : Talung Tso Lake Camp (4,250 m) to Jhang (3,930 m), Distance: 20 km, Time: 5-6 hrs

Today we walk from Jhnag and reach Halji, a very peaceful village in the Limi Valley. The place boasts of an ancient Buddhist monastery which you can visit after having lunch in the evening.Stay overnight at the camp/tent after having full board meals.

Day 11 : Jhang (3,930 m) to Halji (3,700 m), Distance: 9 km, Time: 3 hrs

Trek along the banks of Tila Khola and then ascend upwards to Lamka Pass Camp. After walking for 3-4 hrs, you can reach Lamka la Pass.Stay overnight at the base camp in Lamka Pass.

Day 12 : Halji (3,700 m) to Lamka Pass Camp (4,300 m), Time: 5-6 hrs

Today we enter Tibet, but first, we reach Hilsa after crossing Lamka La Pass. Check-in at the Chinese customs office in Hilsa. Our Tibetan guides will be there to receive you and then drive to Purang.Stay at a guest house in Purang.

Day 13 : Trek to Hilsa (3,640 m) from Lamka Pass Camp (4,300 m) and drive to Burang/Purang (4,755 m), Distance: 23 km walk, 30 mins drive, Time: 2-3 hrs

Drive from Purang to Manasarovar Lake, enjoying the beautiful view of Gurlamandata Mountains and other snow-capped mountains. You can also see the Rakshas Taal and Manasarovar lake during the drive. In the evening, you can visit the Chiu Gompa (monastery).Stay overnight at a lodge near Chiu Gompa.

Day 14 : Burang/Purang (4,755 m) to Manasaravor Lake/Chiu Gompa (4,590 m), Distance: 68.7 km, Time: 1 hr and 30 mins

You can take a break and rest at Manasarovar. Explore the area and take a bath at the hot spring nearby.Stay at the same hotel in Chiu Gompa area.

Day 15 : Acclimatization at Manasarovar (4,590 m)

Drive to Tirthapuri Hot Spring from Manasarovar passing Tholing along the way.&nbsp;Stay at a teahouse/hotel in Tirthapuri.

Day 16 : Drive from Manasarovar (4,590 m) to Tirthapuri Hot Spring (approx 4,310 m), Distance: 98.2 km, Time: 2 hrs

Enjoy the day at Tirthapuri, visiting its numerous hot springs and pilgrim sites. In the morning you can hike to Bon Monastery Gurudem.During the afternoon, you can visit small Kora of Tirthapuri. Enjoy meditating at the Gompa with Buddhist monks and pilgrim-goers. Tirthapuri is best known for housing the meditating cave of Guru Rinpoche.Stay at the same lodge in Tirthapuri.

Day 17 : Rest at Tirthapuri

Take a local vehicle back to Tholing from Tirthapuri Hot Spring. You can enjoy the spectacular view of the Tibetan Plateau and the Indian Himalayas.Stay overnight at a lodge in Tholing.

Day 18 : Drive from Tirthapuri (4,310 m) to Tholing (3,723 m)

Today we reach Darchen from Tholing, but before that, we visit the historical town and palaces in Tsaparang in the Guge Kingdom.&nbsp;The Guge Kingdom is full of Buddhist monasteries and caves. We then move towards Drachen, which is a small town at the foothills of Mt. Kailash.&nbsp;The Tibetan guide will arrange yaks and porters for your three days trip around Mount Kailash.&nbsp;Stay and Hotel Sun Moon Guesthouse or Hotel Himalaya in Drachen.

Day 19 : Tholing (3,723 m) to Darchen (4,575 m), Distance: 239 km, Time: 3 hrs and 52 mins

After an early breakfast, we hike to Dairaphuk. Its the first day of your trip around Mount Kailash (Kora) after passing Lime valley.&nbsp;Stay overnight at a lodge or monastery in Dairaphuk.

Day 20 : Trek from Darchen (4,575 m) to Dairaphuk (5,077 m), Distance: 19 km, Time: 6-7 hrs (First day near Mt. Kailash Kora)

From Dairaphuk we reach Zuthulphuk. Today is the hardest and the holiest day of our trek. After passing Dolma La Pass at 5,630 m, we move towards Zuthulphuk which is nestled between two valleys.&nbsp;The valley is filled with Buddhist flags left by pilgrim-goers. From Dolma La pass it a series staircases that lead you to Lhachu Valley.Stay overnight at a teahouse/guest house in Zuthulphuk.

Day 21 : Dairaphuk (5,077 m) to Syabje Dadok/Zuthulphuk (4807 m), Distance: 18 km, Time: 8-9 hrs (Second day at Mt. Kailash Kora)

We start the third and final day of the Mount Kailash Kora with breakfast at Zuthulphuk.&nbsp;Visit the Milarepa cave, where the temples date back to the 11th century. The temples were later renovated in 2016.We head back to Darchen and exit the valley, which should take us about three hours. A driver will be there to receive you and escort you back to Darchen. After finishing the KLora or the circular trip drive to Hortsu.Stay overnight at a lodge/guest house.

Day 22 : Syabje Dadok/Zuthulphuk (4,807 m) to Darchen (4,575 m), Distance: 10 km, Time: 3 hrs

We drive along the Himalayan ranges and pass Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Mustang. Visit Lake Peigu Tsho and reach Saga. On the way, you can also catch a glimpse of Shisha Pangma (8,016 m) and Ganesh Himal (7,150 m).Stay overnight at a lodge in Saga.

Day 23 : Drive from Hortsu to Saga, Distance: 444 km, Time: 6 hrs

Take an early morning drive from Kyirong (Gyirong) via Rashuwa Gadhi Border (1,838 m) and reach Nuwakot Durbar. Fulfil all the necessary legal procedures after entering Nepal from Tibet and continue your drive to Nuwakot Durbar which will take about two and a half hours.The Durbar is located on top of a hill and is an ancient historic site that offers a beautiful view of the valley below.

Day 24 : Drive from Saga to Nepal (Nuwakot Durbar) via Kyirong (2,800 m), Distance: 395 km, Time: 9 hrs

It takes about three hours to reach from Nuwakot to Kathmandu.

Day 25 : Drive from Nuwakot (1,022 m) to Kathmandu, Distance: 57 km, time: 3 hrs

Early in the morning, we transfer to Kathmandu airport and fly from there to Lukla airport, namely Tenzing-Hillary airport.After a short, relaxing break, we head to Phakding as we move across a slow, easy route with some ascends to reach Phakding village, a beautiful Sherpa village located above the river, Dudh Koshi.

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Lukla via flight (30 minutes) and trek to Phakding (2612 meters); four hours

A gradual walk in the morning leads us to Sagarmatha National Park entry gate, from where we cross a bridge to reach Jorsalle village. This could be our lunch stop. In the afternoon, we walk along the river bed in the lush green forests to further climb a high bridge that takes us to the beautiful Namche Bazaar after a cumbersome time moving uphill with views of snow-peaks. Then, we transfer to our lodges in Namche Bazaar; Namche is a tourist hub and a market in Khumbu where Saturday markets are held once every week. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 2 : Head to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters) en route Sagarmatha National Park check-post; six hours

We take a day to rest in Namche Bazaar. We have reached a higher elevation so we need to take some time to acclimatize. On this day, we will take a short hike up to Everest View hotel which has to offer an amazing panorama of snowy peaks like the majestic Everest and the magnificent Amadablam. &nbsp;We will visit an intriguing museum where we will get to know about the Khumbu lifestyle, people, culture, vegetation and the history of mountaineering.

Day 3 : Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

After having a good time in Namche, we move forward to Thyangboche. &nbsp;The morning walk encompasses an ascend and then walking on a path which provides views of Ama Dablam and the mighty Everest. &nbsp;We then descend to the river, Imjatse from where we reach the place named Phunke Tenga which is a possible lunch stop amidst a wood. &nbsp;We then climb the forested area with views if the Kangtenga-Tharmasarku and other towering peaks as we reach Thyangboche. &nbsp;Thyangboche has a spectacular monastery where we can witness the beautiful interiors with Buddhism influenced designs.We can savor the amazing surrounding with a view of the majestic Mount Everest and the magnificent Ama Dablam with the lush green rhododendron-oaks-fir and juniper forests. We stay here overnight.

Day 4 : Move to Thyangboche Monastery (3860 meters); five hours

Early in the morning, w can view the scenic mountains and then we can walk downhill to reach Dingboche. From here, we again reach the river Imjatse from where we cross a bridge to reach Pangboche as we move through the arid terrains.This village has lodges to serve the needs of the visitors of Everest Base Camp. Afterward, we have some ups and downs which take us to a river and a final climb for around an hour leads us to the Dingboche with Ama Dablam on the north and Island Peak on the east.

Day 5 : Head to Dingboche (4410 meters); five hours

We have a break for acclimatization on this day where we hike for some hours over the hills above the valley of Imjatse and Dingboche. We will see the fifth highest peak in the world Mt. Makalu on the east. We will have spare time to roam around Dingboche which is sandwiched within Imjatse valley underneath the Amadablam North Face.

Day 6 : Rest day in Dingboche

After a good time in Dingboche, we head to the place named Lobuche. We have a short climb over a ridge with colorful prayer flags along with monuments. We walk above Pheriche Valley enjoying the views of Taboche and Cholatse peaks from where we reach the place called Thugla. We walk past a short bridge and then ascend to Thugla for lunch. We climb the ridge with a memorial for mountaineers who lost their life while climbing peaks around Everest and Khumbu. And, we gradually walk up to get to Lobuche where we stay overnight.

Day 7 : Head to Lobuche (4940 meters); four hours

We reach the main destination of our journey today. We slowly climb ahead to reach a high ridge near Khumbu glacier. We walk over rocky and icy terrains to get to an area near Gorak Shep situated at the bottom of Kalapatthar. We make our way to the Everest Base Camp enjoying the views of the Khumbu glacier along with the Lhotse, Nuptse and Everest peaks. After this, we move back to Gorakshep where we stay overnight before getting back to Lukla.

Day 8 : Move to Gorak Shep (5164 meters) and hike to EBC (5364 meters) and retrace to Gorakshep; seven hours

Before breakfast, we climb the high ridge early in the morning to reach the highest elevation of the adventure which will reward us with the spectacular views of Mt. Pumori and Mt. Everest. We retrace our steps back to Gorakshep to eat breakfast from where he heads to Pheriche, a beautiful valley near Dingboche where Himalayan Rescue Association is stationed. We stay overnight in Pheriche.

Day 9 : Hike to Kala Patthar (5545 meters) and trek till Pheriche (4137 meters); six hours

We have an easy walk to reach the Pangboche village where we enjoy the scenic beauty of the natural surrounding. &nbsp;We move to lower elevation as each hour passes by. &nbsp;We reach Thyangboche from Pangboche and can visit its monastery on our way. With few ups and downs, the scenic path leads us to Namche Bazaar where we stay overnight before heading to Lukla.

Day 10 : Head to Namche Bazaar; six hours

This is the final day of our marvelous adventure. &nbsp;We descend down the river valley to reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park and then we reach Monjo village from where we walk past Phakding and slump for some time to reach Lukla before we fly to Kathmandu.

Day 11 : Move to Lukla (2860 meters); six hours

After a hearty breakfast in Lukla, we board a flight to reach Kathmandu. We will enjoy the natural sceneries on this flight.

Day 12 : Lukla to Kathmandu via a flight

We head to Machhermo to the northern side of Dhole. We first reach Lhabarma and then Machhermo. There will be a number of things to see on this trail including the lush green forests, pristine rivers, and snowy peaks.

Day 11 : Move to Macchermo (4470 meters, around five hours)

Our trekking trail moves towards the valley followed by a downhill climb to a river before we climb the Ngozumpa Glacier moraine to reach Gokyo valley. Gokyo is known for the six lakes that are here and for the majestic view of the picturesque mountain peaks. We will get to see the three beautiful lakes namely Longpongo, Taboche Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari; each one has a distinct specialty. After lunch, we head to the fourth lake.

Day 12 : Trekking to Gokyo lake (4790 meters, around five hours)

We hike to Gokyo Ri first thing in the morning; we reach there after three hours’ ascent. The scenic beauty of the majestic Himalayas like Everest(8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Cho Oyu (8848m), Chamar (7287m), Nuptse (7861m) and others alongside the enchanting Gokyo Lakes and the enormous Ngozumpa Glacier will feel surreal. We go back to the lodge for breakfast and then set off to Dragnag.

Day 13 : Head to Gokyo Ri (5360 meters, three hours) and trek to Dragnag (4700 meters, three hours)

You will be picked at the airport by our representative and will be transferred to the hotel upon your arrival. &nbsp;Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 1 : Reach Kathmandu (1350 meters) and transfer to hotel with bed and breakfast plan

We head to the town of Dumja early in the morning alongside the Sunkoshi river. We move through places like Ghurmi following Sunkoshi river and then head to Okhaldhunga. We get to Phapla as we move alongside Dudh Koshi river. Overnight stay at Phaplu.

Day 2 : Drive to Phaplu (2470 meters, around six hours)

Our trekking journey starts on this day. We follow the river, Dudh Koshi as we move through pine and rhododendron forests as we pass by Salung village and Ringmo. This area is popular for apricot, peach and apple orchards and is loved for its locally made apple cider. Now we move to Thubten Chhoiling Monastery which has been protecting the tradition and teachings of Buddhism over the decades. From here, we go to the Sherpa village of Junbesi.

Day 3 : Move to Junbesi (2680 meters, three hours); Hike to Thubten Chholing Tibetan Monastery (3200 meters, around four hours)

On this day we set off for Nunthala; on our way, we will be accompanied by beautiful rhododendron in the trail. This trail moves through the Taksindu Pass (3970 meters). &nbsp;The trail ends at Nunthala for the day as we move past the village and green forest of Kimbu. Overnight stay in Nunthala.

Day 4 : Trekking to Nunthala (2330 meters, around seven hours); cross the Taksindu pass (3771 meters)

We move through the dense jungle alongside the chirping of birds and sounds of animals as we head to Bupsa Danda where we reach after we cross the Kharikhola village. Kharikhola village is the point of diversion for people trekking to Hinku valley or the Mera Pak (6476 meters). We reach Bupsa Danda (2770 meters) as we hike over the suspension bridge and head onto a steep route.

Day 5 : Move to Bupsa Danda (2770 meters, six hours)

We head to the Kari La Pass (3080 meters) first thing in the morning. After two hours ascend we reach the top and can enjoy the amazing view of Nambu (6960 meters), Thamserku (6608 meters), Cho Oyu (8188 meters). Finally, we reach Paiya Khola as we trek down through the lush green forest of oak and cross a metal bridge.

Day 6 : Trek to Paiya (2940 meters, six hours)

Now we trek to Surke as we move through lush green jungle of oak trees en route Paiya La (2945 meters). We will get to enjoy the scenic view of the Khumbu valley and the enormous mountain tops. The, we reach Surke which is located at the bottom of Lukla. &nbsp;Our final destination, the Sherpa Hamlet of Phakding is then reached as we trek along the way with many ups and downs alongside the river, Dudh Koshi. Overnight stay in Phakding.

Day 7 : Trekking to Phakding (2610 meters, around seven hours)

On this way, we head to Namche Bazar. The trail moves alongside the fast currents of the river and an amazing view of Thamserku on the opposite side. First, we reach Jorsalle which indicates that we have entered the Sagarmatha national park We then move through the trail branched by Dudh Koshi and Bhote rivers on left and right respectively. &nbsp;We walk on the crisscross way to reach Namche.&nbsp;

Day 8 : Trekking to Namche Bazar (3440 meters, around six hours)

We stay at Namche for rest and acclimatization; here we can explore the villages of Khumjung and Khunde as we hike there. Khumjung village is in-between the ridge above the sacred mountain of Khumbila (5761 meters) and Namche. We visit the popular monastery of Khumjung where the major attraction is the skull of Yeti. We also go to the Everest View Hotel to see the majestic view of Everest (8849 meters) and the beautiful Ama Dablam. &nbsp;We move to the Khunde Community hospital for exploring it; it was built by Sir Edmund Hilary in the year 1966. We will also take time to study the Hilary Family memorial park which was established in order to honor the work of Sir Edmund Hillary.

Day 9 : Rest day at Namche for Acclimatization

On this day, the journey starts with a climb to Khyangjuma village. We move forward to the place named Mong &nbsp;La as we pass through Sherpa village of Sanasa. This pass is below Mt. Khumbila (5761 meters). We finally reach to Dhole en route Mong La and stay there overnight.

Day 10 : Trekking to Dhole (4070 meters, around six hours)

On this day, we move to Dzongla by passing the Chola Pass; it follows a steep trail and crosses the glacial moraine on the east. We head to Phedi to reach Dzongla en route high pass of Cho La (5420 meters). Most of the mountains of Mahalangur Himalayan Range can be viewed from Cho La’s top. We then descend through icy moraines to reach Dzongla.

Day 14 : Move to Dzongla by crossing the Chola Pass (5420 meters, around nine hours)

As we chase the trail following the Changri Glacier alongside the Khumbu Glacier ridges, we get to Gorakshep. &nbsp;We move to Kala Patthar viewpoint where we observe the beautiful sunset. &nbsp;This will certainly be an unforgettable memory for you.

Day 15 : Move to Gorak Shep (5100 meters), hike to Kala Patthar Peak (5545 meters, around eight hours)

We cross the Khumbu glacier on our way to Everest Base camp as we head up on the rocky ridges. We are going to feel really significant as we stand at the EBC with the world tallest peak over our head. We will then head down to the lodge to eat lunch and descend to Thukla.

Day 16 : Excursion to the Everest Base Camp (5364 meters, around five hours), get back to the lodge and have lunch; then descend to Thukla (462 meters, around three hours)

We head down to the Sherpa Hamlet of Tengboche first. And we cross lush green forests and Sherpa villages to reach the bank of Imja Khola above which Tengboche village lies. &nbsp;The famous festival Mani Ridmu is observed in the biggest monastery of Khumbu region, located in Tengboche. &nbsp;We will visit this place in the evening and enjoy the mesmerizing mountain vista.

Day 17 : Get to Deboche (3820 meters, around five hours) or trek to Tyangboche

On this day, we descend through lush green forests enjoying the enchanting views of Nuptse (7861 meters), Lhotse (8414 meters), Mt. Everest (8848 meters) and Ama Dablam (6856 meters). Overnight stay in Namche.

Day 18 : Head to Namche (around six hours)

We will move to the zone with lesser mountains now as we move to Phakding. &nbsp;The trail moves through dense forest and streams.

Day 19 : Move to Phakding (around five hours)

We descend down to reach Lukla alongside Dudh Koshi river reminiscing the Himalayas, the culture, and beautiful landscape. &nbsp;Overnight stay in Lukla and celebration, for now, the trek has ended.

Day 20 : Go to Lukla airport (2840 meters, around three hours)

We will reach to Kathmandu from Lukla in 30 minutes via a flight. &nbsp;We will transfer you to your hotel from the airport. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 21 : Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel at Thamel

We go on a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu. We go to the major cities like Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are the major tourist spots of Nepal; you will know why as soon as you get there. You will be awestruck by the beautiful architectures, structures, culture, and cuisines you will see in these cities.

Day 22 : Sightseeing tour around Kathmandu; Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square

We will drive you to the airport as you head to your home country or the next destination.

Day 23 : Big farewell to Nepal and return home

We retrace our steps back to the Lama hotel as we follow the path along the valley moving along Langtang Khola to get to Mundu and then to Ghora Tabela. We walk down easily. After w get lunch, we again descend to the Lama Hotel.

This is your final day in Nepal. You will have time to explore the nearby places and to go souvenir shopping. Later, you will be transferred to the airport around three hours before your flight time by our representative at Sherpa Expedition and Trekking.
